Photo Of The Day Mosaic - July 2009.
Photo Of The Day - 211 Of 365 - Spanky.
I thought I'd quickly put up this photo of my mom's bird that we are babysitting. We've had him with us for 2 1/2 weeks now and he has fit in very well with our kids. He's noisy and doesn't do what he is told either. LOL.
Today is his last day with us so I thought I'd take a shot of him before he goes back to Mom's.

Photo Of The Day - 206 of 365. Alberta Railway Museum.
We spent a couple of hours at the Alberta Railway Museum today. What a neat place. Jacob was in his glory with all the real trains around.
Most of the cars have been restored and there are plenty of historical plaques and explinations of each car.

Photo Of The Day - 204 of 365. Grass Hopper.
Thursday July 23 2009.
I just about stepped on this little guy. If he hadn't jumped away, I would not even have noticed him. So well camoflaged.

Photo Of The Day - 202 of 365. Johnny.
Beginning the whole portrait phase. I'm drawn to environmental portraits. I like how a person's surroundings tells a story about them.
John is one of our mechanics. Happy no matter what he is doing.

Photo Of The Day - 201 of 365. Weeds.
Here is what 7 years of lawn neglect leads to. Weeds, weeds, weeds. This is the only thing about the new house that I dislike. It will take me a whole summer of work just to get rid of these. Good thing I like to do that.

Photo Of The Day - 199 of 365. In The Pool.
What do you do when you have had enough of the lake and the waves? You relax and kick back in the kiddie pool of course.
171mm, ISO 100, f/5.6 for 1/125 sec.
Photo Of The Day - 198 of 365. Plug & Chain.
I seem to be on a little industrial kick this week. Here is a plug and tie chain on a holding tank drain line that was catching the light nicely.

Sorry about the cheesy title. I'm feeling a little cheesy today.

Stuck In A Rut.
I need to boost my self up. It seems that just writing this down is helping me to solve the problems. Perhaps this weekend with a much needed break out at the lake, I could get my assignment done. It's just a bunch of portraits after all. Hmm. I'll see.
Well I feel a bit better now.
Thanks.
Chris.
Photo Of The Day - 196 of 365. Reflected Evening Sun.

Photo Of The Day - 194 of 365. Saying Good-Bye.
One last look at the old house. I dropped the keys off today. This was the last day I'll step into that house. I must say, I will miss the house.

Photo Of The Day - 188 of 365. Lonesome Rock.
It's been raining for 12 hours or so now. This rock is on our BBQ deck at work just across from my office. We use it to hold the door open. LOL.
I liked how the rain drops were spreading rings all about the deck and how the rain streaked glass of the door added to the gloomy feel of the photo.
53mm, ISO 400, f/8 for 1/40 sec.
Photo Of The Day - 187 of 365. Testing For Portrait Location.
I'm really wanting to take some portraits of the kids in front of the fireplace in our new house. It's going to take some off camera flash. The lights above the fireplace look terrible but the spot will be alright.

Mostly Moved In, Back To Work.
Here are my helpers hoofing boxes.
What a crazy day this one was.
For now the house is full of boxes, the garage is full of boxes and we never new we had so much stuff. Can you say garage sale? Well I'll try to keep up with posting now that I am back at work.
