Today is my Wife's Grandmother's birthday. She is 95 today! She still works in her garden, shovels her own snow and lives by herself. She is full of spirit. Gotta admire that.

We had some very cool stormy clouds that really screamed HDR to me. The detail in the clouds and the stones on the road just popped in the processed image.

Sometimes it's nice to have a rainy day at the lake. We can just sit in my in-law's cottage and watch the rain come down.
I was really captured by the rain hitting the top of this table. I must have sat there watching it for an hour. I'm glad I was able to capture the streaking rain drops and the resulting splashes.

500px For Inspiration.
I'm a big fan of Flickr. I have a ton of friends there and I'm in a pile of groups. I love Flickr. But, it's not very inspirational. There are just so many photographers there. It's really a place to share almost everything you have. I do. I put stuff up there that's not my best work just to share a cute or fun photo. I love it.
That said, it's hard to find inspiring photographs on Flickr. Don't get me wrong, they are there but you must wade through a sea of snap shots to find them. I've tried.
Enter 500px.com. Here is a new and inspiring place to look at photographers best work. Really, really nice work there.
I've joined the site and have started posting what I think are my best photographs. I hope to get some feedback and critiques that I can use to improve my photography.

Well, it almost killed me to get to this spot on my bike and I got eaten alive by mosquitoes while taking it (what was I thinking, stopping like that) but, here is my photo of the day! Nice view.

We have a nest of crows on the lot. Here is the last one to leave the nest. He's not quite flying just yet but the next day he was gone from this tree.
I'm literally at arms length from this little one. It even let me pet it. That was a bit odd. Also, I never new the little ones had such blue eyes!
