Here is the best and the worst part of Christmas all in one delectable little package. Shortbread cookies.

My Grandma made my favorite ones. No one will ever beat hers. Now that she is recently passed, I will cherish every one of these I eat. Yum. Full of good memories. Even just the smell of them reminds me of Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Suddenly, I'm 8 years old again. :)

The kids and I spent an hour or so sliding down a hill today. Just a little hill but it was fun anyway. As you can tell by the big smile here. Next week we are going to the big hills. That should be fun.

After the day of dance, swimming lessons and insane Christmas shopping, we decided on Boston Pizza for a late lunch. Blue raspberry jello for desert. There is a smile with a mouthful of jello. :)

It snowed a little yesterday. It's only 2 feet deep against this door. How am I supposed to get to that BBQ now?

You just have to love winter in Alberta. Here is my view on the way to work. Dark eh? It looks exactly the same on the way home too. No wonder so many Canadians suffer from SAD each winter. We just don't get much light. LOL.
